During the construction of the Pulangi IV Hydro Electric Plant in Maramag, Don Carlos, Bukidnon in July 1983 to February 1985, Mr. Uy Yian Ping, was the major supplier of construction materials and equipment to various contractors. In July 1988, Mr. Uy Yian Ping organized UKC Builders a sole proprietorship construction firm with office address at Don Carlos, Bukidnon. A year after, UKC Builders transferred to Tablon, Cagayan de Oro City after the completion of its own building, where it is holding office up to the present. UKC Builders has developed its own culture which prescribes the manner by which the company conducts its business. Projects are done ahead of schedule and with responsiveness to client requirement. It has an organizational structure that is flexible and quick-reacting to the needs of the client. There is that all important continuity of attention from the project conception to final completion. UKC Builders has people with intimate knowledge of construction that can only be acquired through years of actual experience. UKC Builders has been serving the people of Mindanao since 1988. It wishes to contribute more to the construction community as it anticipates the demands of the future through its potential for growth and its capabilities in human resources, financial facilities, management competence, teamwork and professional responsibility. On January 10, 1994, UKC Builders has changed its name and status from UKC Builders, a single proprietorship to UKC Builders, Inc. a corporation. In that same year, 1994, a new corporation, Techno-Stress Systems Corporation was established by the company to complement its requirement and also the need of the construction industry in Northern Mindanao and neighboring regions. The plant is principally engaged in the production of Pre-stressed Concrete Products such as Solid Square Piles, Sheet Piles, Double Tee Slabs, U-Beams, Pre-stressed Bridge Girders, Spun Poles and other precast products.
